“Baptism is an outward expression of an inward faith.”- Watchman Nee

On November 4th, we had the amazing privilege of baptizing six youth in our ministry. We started out the service with Bobby teaching on what it truly means to be a disciple of Christ and what the Word tells us about obedience, denying ourselves, taking up our cross and following Him each day. We then held a special time of prayer with the youth followed by the baptisms.

Immediately following the baptisms we took communion together as a family remembering the sacrifice the Lord made for us followed by the sharing of a meal together.

All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. Acts 2:42 NLT

And, of course there was cake because what celebration is complete without cake?

Most of the youth baptized that day are also part of our one-on-one discipleship program where they meet each week with a leader for one-on-one discipleship. It has truly been an honor to watch them grow and make decisions to dedicate their lives to the Lord. In a country where working with youth is truly a matter of life and death, we rejoice to see lives rescued and won for Christ. He is breaking chains, restoring hope, and creating new legacies in their lives. “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”

2 corinthians 5:17
