Bible Distribution and One-on-One Discipleship program

God’s Word in every hand

Several years ago a youth visited our service for the first time. Two weeks later he was murdered. We were left with the harsh reminder that many times we only get one chance to reach someone for eternity. Because of that tragedy, we made a decision that every youth who visits our ministry for the first time would receive a Bible. Since then, we have literally given out hundreds of Bibles to youth who have visited our ministry for the first time as well as in other special events such as camps and outreaches. We also make sure that every youth who is a part of our ministry has a Bible in an easy-to-understand translation.

God’s Word in every heart

We believe strongly in one-on-one discipleship. Many of our youth are first generation Christians who are struggling to break generational cycles of abuse, violence and poverty with little to no support. They desperately need someone to walk beside them as they live everyday life. We currently have two part-time staff, or mentors, who meet with different youth each week for a time of teaching and encouragement. These mentors also visit the youths’ homes and schools.

We truly believe that the Word of God is a powerful tool in our fight against all the evil that we see.  Jesus’s final words were to go, baptize, and make disciples.  This is not only our mission, but the mission and standing orders for every believer no matter where you live. We strongly believe that personal quiet time with the Lord and individual discipleship transforms lives more than anything else. So many times we look to projects or programs for change, and not that these things are wrong, but let’s not forget that we have already been given the most powerful weapon there is! One that goes straight to the heart.
